Fall Colors Ride VI

October 27, 2002


On October 27, 2002 we had a Fall Colors Ride VI on the path along the D&R canal next to the Delaware River. We went from Scudders Falls to Lambertville to Frenchtown, then crossed the river and rode to New Hope on the towpath of the Delaware Canal on the Pennsylvania side of the river. We had lunch in Hew Hope, crossed the river to Lambertville and returned to the starting point at Scudders Falls. The total was 51 miles!

Riders included Steve Gratton (post-doc) and his wife, Chris. Also, Vincent Pelletier, 4th year student, Eric Dahl, Janice Hester, Lu Li, and Gaspar Tkacik, all first year students, and me, Ed Groth. It was quite an international group. Steve and Chris are from the UK, Vincent's from Canada, Lu from China, and Gaspar from Slovenia.

He rode his bike there from Princeton and at the end of the ride he left us there and rode back to Princeton.

Fall Colors Ride, 2002 We took a break at Bulls Island, about 16 miles from the start and 6-1/2 miles north of Lambertville. Eric, Lu, Janice, Vincent, and Gaspar.
