Getting ready for the ride at the parking lot next to the towpath in
Kingston: Robin is to the left, Laura and Pat on the
right, and Eric, Gaspar, and Amol are in the background.
We took a break at "Ten Mile Lock." Here are Laura, Pat, Amol and Robin.
Pat, Laura, and Robin cross one of the spillways where overflow from the
canal on the left can flow into the river (out of the picture) on the
right. From Kingston, the canal runs along the Millstone River and then the
Raritan River after the Millstone runs into the Raritan.

Eric at the Landing Lane bridge just before the towpath ends.
Laura and Pat at the end (turn around point) of the path. The canal flows
into the Raritan at this point and route 18 is in the background.
Gaspar, Amol, and Eric in front of Laura and Pat at the end of the path.
Robin at the end. The vegetation is really green and growing due to all
the rain we've had recently.
There was a construction zone at one of the two places where the path goes
under Interstate 287.
More construction.
Gaspar and Eric on the path.
Amol and Pat riding on the path. Some other cyclists are in the
background, and a fisherman is at the far right.
We took a break at Ten Mile Lock on the way back as well. Here Eric
arrives at the lock.
Laura and Pat take a break. I think it was at this point Laura asked if I
had any repeat riders, since she thought the ride was too hard!
After about 44 miles, we made it back to Kingston where we had lunch
at Good Time Charley's. That's Laura. Pat, Eric, Amol, Gaspar, and Robin.
