It's Almost Summer Bike Ride V

June 1, 2002

On June 1, 2002 we had an It's Almost Summer Bike Ride V on the path along the D&R canal from Kingston to New Brunswick and back. When we got back to Kingston, we had lunch at Good Time Charley's.

The ride was a 44 mile round trip.

This year's ride wasn't very well attended. It turns out that the weekend of June 1 was the only weekend I had available unitl the middle of the summer. Unfortunately, this was the weekend between reunions and commencement and this probably explains the low turnout!

MAP I ran my GPS during the ride and this is the recorded track overlain on a USGS topographic map. ME Here I am getting ready to leave the house for the start of the ride in Kingston.
Christelle, Jonas I met up with Christelle and Jonas in Rocky Hill. The northern terminus We made it to the end, just before New Brunswick.
Jonas Jonas taking a break at the end. From here we rode back to Rocky Hill to get Christelle (who had returned from East Amwell when her back got sore) and then back to Kingston for lunch at Good Time Charley's.
